Busy Bugs Bricks Club is a social club that focusses on the child’s emotional, social and developmental skills. 

The Club sessions are 1 session per week for 45 – 60 minutes.

Sessions include the following activities

• Educational Kinesiology in order to work, play and learn from a whole brain perspective
• Bricks activities
o For problem solving skills
o Socializing and to encourage groupwork
o Communication skills
o Physical development such as gross motor-; fine motor development; foreground- background; maths; science skills development
o The bricks program forms part of the Department of Education’s CAPS program
• Relaxation and breathing exercises

 The program is developed for children from Grade RR – Grade 7.

Busy Bugs Bricks Club is active on the following days in the specific areas 

• Mondays Pretoria East (from May 2020) – opens with a minimum of 5 registered children
• Tuesdays Moot (from March) – opens with a minimum of 5 registered children
• Wednesdays Montana Park – (Afrikaans group)
• Thursdays Montana Park – (English Group)

Club session times and break-up according to the different age groups: 

• Beetles Grade RR – 1 14:00 – 15:00
• Ladybirds Grade 2 – 3 15:00 – 16:00
• Butterfly Grade 4 – 5 16:00 – 17:00
• Dragonfly Grade 6 – 7 17:00 – 18:00 

Each child is being assessed to see which is the best group for the child to fit in even though the classes are divided into specific age groups. It is important to assess which group will fit the child’s emotional needs the best. We therefore focus on the groups name and not the age or grade group when placing your child in a group. The grade serves mere as a guideline for the time the schools comes out and finishes for the day. Your child may thus be placed in a group of children one year younger of one year older than your child’s age. It may also happen due to temperament and personality differences.

Packages

The prices per session depends on the package of your choice for your child. The contract term determines your package price. All fees (except for package 1) is payable on a month to month basis. The payment is payable in advance before services are rendered. All registrations are dependent on an individual assessment prior to the first session. This is to determine the best group for your child’s need. The duration for this assessment is 60 – 90 minutes. 

Package 1 

• R 650-00 once off assessment fee to determine the child’s emotional and developmental needs and to place the child in the best possible group
• R 350 – 00 yearly administration fee (which includes a branded t-shirt which needs to be worn to the Club sessions)
• R 550 – 00 per session when you or your child’s schedule is such that your child will not be able to attend each week’s session.
• Bookings are therefor per session and booked at least one week in advance in order to secure your space as an ad hock member
• All bookings are confirmed upon payment. Places cannot be hold without the physical payment for that session due to limited space and planning of the session
• Should it happen that you made and paid the booking and your child cannot make the session, you forfeit the fee since the place was put aside for your child and someone else might have missed out on that place. Another reason being that the sessions are worked out according to the total amount of children in that specific sessions as well as which children are placed together for the session 

Package 2 

• R 650-00 once off assessment fee to determine the child’s emotional and developmental needs and to place the child in the best possible group
• R 350 – 00 yearly administration fee (which includes a branded t-shirt which needs to be worn to the Club sessions)
• R 450 – 00 per session when you register your child from month to month. The fees are payable upfront on a monthly basis on the following way: 

o R 1 800 – 00 per month, payable on the first day of the month for the month that is ahead
o This package is worked out on a 4-week month o If a month has 5 Bricks Club sessions in that given month, then the monthly fee stay as is (R 1 800 – 00)
o If it happens that a Club date falls on a public holiday, a school holiday, or a day that the Club is closed for which ever reason, then the fees stays the same (R 1 800 – 00) for the month
o If your child cannot attend the session/s for which ever reason, you are still responsible for the full month’s payment, since it is a discounted fee. 

Package 3

• R 650-00 once off assessment fee to determine the child’s emotional and developmental needs and to place the child in the best possible group
• R 350 – 00 yearly administration fee (which includes a branded t-shirt which needs to be worn to the Club sessions) 
• R 300 – 00 per session when you register your child for the whole year. The fees are payable upfront on a monthly basis on the following way: 

o R 1 200 – 00 per month, payable on the first day of the month for the month that is ahead
o This package is worked out on a 4-week month o If a month has 5 Bricks Club sessions in that given month, then the monthly fee stay as is (R 1 200 – 00)
o If it happens that a Club date falls on a public holiday, a school holiday, or a day that the Club is closed for which ever reason, then the fees stays the same (R 1 200 – 00) for the month
o If your child cannot attend the session/s for which ever reason, you are still responsible for the full month’s payment, since it is a discounted fee. Please feel free to complete our online registration form in order to receive your registration form for your child.
